Does anybody use these? They look really good but I was wondering how heavy they are and if they work as effectively as a normal chain? Also, do they fit JAG safeliner indicators?

I've got a set that I use when it's particularly windy and yes they are spot on, they're standard 2ba thread to fine for solar, Jag etc.
As for weight I'm not really sure, never had any problem with bite indication.

I've used these for a couple of years now , I find them excellent, not particularly heavy but just heavy enough not to waft everywhere even in a strong wind .

jag sageliners are their own unit, chain connects to the safeliner head one end and connect to a 2ba thread you screw into the hickey stick/ snag ear. safeliners are their own individual kit

Thanks. I've modified my safeliners so they for the Nash R4s so I no longer use the hockey stick.

I use them with defiant heads - find them a good weight for general fishing and can be used at 'full extension/max drop for slack lines.

I have used them for years now and still buy more of them (shorter ones for long thin, Elstow bobbin style hangers). I really rate them!

I wouldn't have thought MCF had these chains custom made for themselves, surely they must have been made for another function and they repurposed them?
If so what was their original function?

From memory they've got MCF stamped into the links, I'll look at the weekend
