Need a 10lb long range mono. I spooled up with some Korda long chuck for now which I've had a few casts with and seems fine. Just wondering if there is anything better that I should look at. Braids not an option unfortunately

The korda tapered mainline is ideal for distance fishing, I've used the 12 (0.33) for years and had fish to 55lb on it. Can't recommend it enough.

There's only a few tapered mainlines about (I can only think of fox and RM) that offer a tapered mainline and arguably the Korda stuff is the one to get as it's cheaper than the others and performs v well in my experience.

Don't need tapered mainlines as leaders are allowed so yeah not limited to them. Just want the best out and out casting line I can get.

Snag free lake. Just long distance upto 170 yards with fish to over 90lb

10lb syncro is brilliant for range work. Even in weed I've never had it go
