1 of my alarms has broken, I can see the wires have become unsoldered. Does anyone have a rough idea of how much this will cost if I send it away? I know daletronics is the place to go and I've spoken to him and he said it might be cheap fix but obviously can't guarantee anything. I can pick 1 up on eBay for £40. I'm just wondering what's my best options. Thank you for any input 👍

If you can see where the unsoldered wires have come from then it could just be as easy as having them resoldered. You haven't got much to lose.
If it's just the battery connection wires then it will be easy. Anyone with a soldering iron should be able to do it.

I missed that yes easy to fix with a soldering iron just make you tin the wires before reconnecting hopefully that's it, nice shiny joints as apposed to dry ones.
It's basically so uncomplicated nobody should charge you anything for doing.
i don't know how old these alarms are. Solder used to be leaded then along came RoHS compliance in July 2006 which meant lead free components / solder had a much higher melting point
