Might be a stupid question but if I freeze a load of maggots they're not going to float are they?
I've never had them float on me when freezing them.
I love this method, and this is random, I've no idea if it's just coincidence or something else but the month of November has been really successful for me using them the past 5 or 6 seasons.
The only theory I can come up with is that it's probably a time when a lot of the naturals have just died off or are dying off completely for the year, and maybe they see them a free food source, but that's just me theorising.

There are more naturals in the lake in November than there are in August.

Fair enough. I'm no expert on this sort of thing so was just coming up with a theory as to why they've worked for me really well in November, of all months. I'll get back in my box now

Keep them in water when opened, else they'll go black and become useless. They won't float though. I use them alot when match fishing.

Cheers, I intend to put them into much hemp, buckwheat and maize spod mix. They like a bit of particle where I'm going. Opens up another hookbait option too
