Can't get these through the hook eye, anyone had the same issues?

I struggled as well, got it through but always seemed to damage the loop. Was told to simply find a hook with a wider eye, which I did with a size 4 chod b from J Precision and it worked much better

I have some of the JRC's couldn't get it thro'.
Had never heard of the Chod B precision hooks, just googled them and the look similar in sharpness to kamakuras. Will give these a go cheers.

So youre going to change arguably the most important prt of youre end tackle, something i would like to think youre confident in. Just to use a pre tied boom? Makes no sense to me. Id be working out how to use a different hooklink material around my hooks

To be fair the JPrecision hooks are fantastic hooks. Extremely sharp and durable. Been using them for years, I just used a slightly different pattern and it worked. Ironically I've not got on that well with the booms and just continue to use my old rigs

Bought the tidy booms for convenience, makes no sense to not at least give them a go. Might even like the jprecision hooks and add to my armoury.
If not, then I've wasted 20quid, not unheard of for a carp angler to waste 20 quid is it?

just make sure you get sharpened hooks,not the ones straight from the packet..(that are £2.00 cheaper
