I occasionally fish a swim on one lake which gets weedy and it is a tips in the air job. I usually anchor the buts down with a bivvy peg but this is knackering the duplon on my handles..!
I could have sworn I saw a ground anchor type thing a while ago, think it was on a website of a custom type company but for the life of me I can't remember who?
Anyone suggest anything?

I got the jag rod-lockers for the exact same reason - bit pricey - but they're really good for securing your rods if fishing locked up
I also tend to have my rear buzz bar/rod-lockers just behind the reel seat, that way the elastic of the rod lockers can be really tight over threaded part of the reel seat rather than cutting into the cork - I have full cork rods.

Got those for normal fishing but I don't use a rear rest when fishing tips up so want something that goes into the ground...

A pal off mine is Barbel mad and fishes rivers with his tips up, but he uses the Jag high-tippers front and rear - he still uses a buzz bar at the rear with a short bank stick and these high-tippers to angle it properly

For tips up over weed I use a 36 inch storm pole at the front and a 9 inch bank stick at the back.

Korum butt cups - if the grounds soft then the screw in ones are fine alternatively use the normal threaded version on mini banksticks

I use a shorter bankstick with rod lockers at the back but when you said ground anchor? as mentioned Korum do a butt cap type screw in anchor but wouldn't stop the rod shooting forward if the drags set a bit tight it would only need to move an inch or two forward and it would release the butt section and the tip would get pulled down and possibly catapult the rod.
The best rests for this are unfortunately no longer made the Revolution rod grips were anawesome product for tips high unfortunately he wound it up.

Keep your pegs if like the standard 2 ear types and put hair elastics or silicon wrist bands over each ear do the butt rests on the top of the peg not trapped under it.
