Ive had a set of delkims for god knows how long, never had any issues with them at all none of the dont work in the rain rubbish they have been great. However in the past 12 months the receiver has packed in 4-5 times , delkim always fix it but then it downs tools again.
Time has come to look at some new alarms , i know what im getting with delkims even the new ones i know what to expect so im looking for opinions on the fox rx+ alarms and the nash siren 4s and how people find both of these . Has anyone used both and find either the fox or the nash much better than the other?
Realibilty, good range on the reciver, good in high winds and being versatile in terms of fishing both slack and tight lines and giving good detection in both scenrios are my main wants in an alarm

If you like delkims, then stick woth them, and upgrade to the txi-d.
Ive had mine since launch, and have been out in all sorts with them, and not had a single issue. But i had the same before with the txi plus.
I had a set of fox RX+ in between. The original intention was so i could sell the txi+ before the market was flooded with them when the txid laucned. The RX+ where again faultless, and worked very well.but ive always preferred delkims, so was always going to sell them for the txid, and the RX+ didnt do anything to change my mind.
Both are great alarms and you wont be disappointed with either, uf as youve had delkims for so long, i imagine youd miss them.
Cant comment on the nash alarms though sorry

What about the wolfs. Not as pretty as rx etc but technically the best alarm on the market. If I was to buy again that's what I'd get.
Had delkims and fox over 30 years. Love the RX +. Infinitely adjustable sensitivity, great range on the receiver, very simple to adjust, works great with slack and tight lines and I do a lot of slack lining. You know what's going on with these alarms.
I would also look at at the RX digitals if you can get a set in good condition... Still the only alarm which does roller/vibration. The sounder looks pants but does the job. IMO if they could combine the RX + with the RX digital that would be the ultimate alarm.

I was just about to reply with something similar. Ive had txis, txi-ds, R3s and rx+ in the past 7 or 8 years. For me the rx+ and txi were the best of the 'newer' alarms but no matter what i try, and how many times i try something else, i always go back to my rx digitals. They are just brilliant alarms

Been looking at these as an upgrade to my atts but I just don't see how they're worth the money with the hubb receiver. Ridiculous amount of money

I changed from Delkim to Fox when I started having problems with the Delkims, Fox had just released the RX+ so I got them.
Never looked back, they are great alarms, a little larger in size than the Delkim and do take a bit of getting used to in that respect.
I really like the receiver, it has vibrate mode and I don't get the annoying crackle sound that I did with the Delkims, battery life I'd great and it replicates everything the alarms do.
The Alarms have drop back differentiation which I find handy, high ears, very easy to adjust settings and you can change the LED colours as and when you fancy, I find that good if I'm say fishing one rod in the margin so I can instantly see it's that rod that's has the activity on the receiver.
If there where better alarms out there from Delkim I'd probably have got them but I genuinely don't think they are, however I do miss the sound of the Delkims when you get a belter of a run there's no better sound IMO

They look absolutely dreadful the wolf alarms. Theh genuinely look like something from argos. Dont understand why they would give them all the bells and whistles then spend about 10 seconds designing the outer

I have had both the Nash R3 and R4s and they have been excellent. I've used most of the top brands of alarms over the years and Nash have been by far the best. I am still not sure the R4 is worth the additional cost over the new R3+ but I would not change them for any other alarm on the market. Incredibly reliable, bleep when they are meant to (not like delkims in heavy rain!), great battery life, receiver range is amazing and they look great too.

Got Nash R4 myself and have been well impressed.
No false bleeps, receiver strength is great and simple to use...once set up how you want them.
So far 10/10
Love the AA batts in the head (easy replacements) compared to the R3's and receiver rechargeable (top up to full every session) so no need to carry spare batts
Love the pulsing leds as well.
Got Nash R4 myself and have been well impressed.
