Hey guys, Iv got a whychwood mhr mk 1 brolly system, it's now leaking and I'm getting wet. I want a new one. Seen the mk 11 system for £270 or the TRAKKER TEMPEST BROLLY 100 BUNDLE (SHELTER+GROUNDSHEET+INFILL for £299 what ones better and do you need the skullcap? Or any other suggestions. I'm tight do not spending more then £300 as even that imo is expensive

Sooo many versions I'm not 100% sure... tempest is like a general term for all the versions.
I have a basic tempest 100 brolly, the earlier one, so it's a V1. This is just the basic shelter and you cannot zip a front on.
I have a newer tempest 100 V2 that you can zip a front on. I have the front (infill panel) and it then becomes a bivvy.
Both of these are the "basic" nylon, but the nylon is excellent. You can also get a much dearer version in aquatex material, but it's heavier.
I also have an older version called the tempest composite that I got very cheap but needed extensive repairs. This one has a normal square door like normal bivvies, but the door can be tied back. It has the same great pole system.
And then there are other versions that are higher, wider, have rear vents, a mezzanine level, spiral staircase, basement level, etc.

I also have a solar undercover. Love it for summer overnighters. Light, quick, great vent on back. And cheap second hand or in the sales.
