Hi all!

I currently own 4x Fox Warrior S rods (12 foot 2.75lb) , which I bought 2nd hand for around £30 each! I use one as a marker rod and the other 3 as normal rods. I also have the Fox Warrior S Spod rod. They have done me well, but it's time for an upgrade.

I use a bait boat for most of my fishing, but that being said I do like going to linear Fisheries and I have a 72 hour session on Brasenose 2 next month where I know distance casting is a big advantage.

I like PVA bag fishing, and would like to buy some rods that are going to cover most eventualities and last me a while.

Rods I am considering:

Shimano TX2 12 foot Intensity (brand new £100)
Daiwa Infinity X45 12 foot 3.75lb (second hand £200)

Does anyone have any recommendations/advice/thoughts on the above? Especially if you think the second hand X45's would be worth the extra money?

From those options I would be saving my money and going for the Shimanos. Plenty of good quality rods you can consider new in between those budgets so you may well get a nice list if recommendations on here

Shimano TX2 Intensity is one of the best (if not the best!) blanks for casting and saving money in the same time. It is hard to imagine brand new rod in the hands for that price-enough power for most situations and still affordable for most pockets. Most of Shimano blanks are very good for their value/price, especially when casting is on the first place.

Tx2 are fantastic value for money & great rods.
