Does anyone know if there is an easy way of converting a set of Longbeam 2000 (the same size as the Emblem 4500T) drag knobs so that the clutch has click feedback? I absolutely love these cracking little reels, the only downside for me is that the drag does not have a click feedback in the way the SS2600 does. Would drag knobs from other Daiwa models fit?
I know Weston does a spool + drag knob that can click, but I was hoping there may be an easier (and cheaper) way to do it.

I dont know for sure, but have often wondered about this with my old Emblem XA's.
I thought using a tourne clicker plate (on top of the drag washer stack) then a weston spool cap (with the clicker) would do it.
i never managed to get measurements but think they are the same size (the clicker plate and the top plate on the emblem drag).
If i were you id get a tourne clicker plate and see if that fits (might need to lose a drag washer if deeper) to see if its possible across all reels.

I had the exact thought process as you few weeks ago and I have tried the Tournament 5000, SS850 and SS2600 clicker plates.
Unfortunately none of them managed to fit inside the washer stack. I have also tried with bigger spool Longbeams, but without any luck. Having said that, the diameter of the Tournie drag knob seems to fit inside the spool, it's just that the click plate won't fit.
I guess the way to go would be finding someone to machine/3D print a smaller diameter click plate, but I am not sure how easy it is to do.

Do you mean so the drag knob has clicks when turned ?

Rather than start a new post and staying on the Longbeam theme, I'm looking to get spring loaded line clips for my ST 2000 H, but having trouble finding for this size reel. Are the spool sizes the same as say an Emblem 3000, and if so would they fit?

Does the SS3000 spool cap fit the Weston spools? Asking since their website says it won't fit. Not sure if that's a marking strategy or they actually don't fit.

If they were lying I reckon they would have been found out by now. In my experience Weston have been a straight up firm.

Nash BP4 spools come with 2 line clips and can be utilised on Longbeams/emblems.
