Hey all

I need a 2 rod pod, my preference is single sticks but I want the flexibility of a pod without the “bulk” (stage stands, not keen) any suggestions as minimalist as possible without breaking the bank

I have searched without success, ideally something to link my existing 16mm sticks rather than having to buy the hole shooting match again - think along the lines of a double Y that links everything together in those situations that need it

Nash knx 2 rod . Dinky as hell. I use it with dwarfs
For my cycling setup.

Cygnet quicklock, you could almost put it in your pocket.
I do prefer stage stands over a pod whenever possible.

If the legs were splayed out wider it would be a good option, but unfortunately it's a little too unstable.

Edit...
The angle of the legs should ideally be "flatter" to make it more stable.

how wide the legs are splayed depends on what length sticks you use to make the legs.

OK, maybe I should have said the angle of the legs...
The legs and upright are all the same angle, ie, 120° apart, as three equal parts of 360°.
The leg angle means the pod can be a little tippy, similar to the old KJB pod.
If you just use longer sticks for the legs then yes, it will have a wider footprint, but it will also be higher and still prone to tipping.
