Hi, I've been Looking for a coolbox that will keep cool for a few days. Have looked at Icey-Tek and Yeti but not sure I can justify the cost.
There are quite a few rotomoulded coolboxes on eBay for about £70.00, so significantly cheaper than the branded units. I just wondered if anyone was using these cheaper ones and are they any good?

The Coleman extreme will do the job unless you're fishing in very hot conditions. Its not rotomoulded, but does a good job in most conditions.

How long are your fishing sessions ?
How much food do you intend to take / do you plan to cook on the bank ?
How much room do you have in your vehicle for one ?
What size ?

Hi, probably about 3-4 days max. All the usual food for cooking on the bank for one. Obviously just really keen to make sure that everything stays fresh enough not to give you food poisoning! I don't have a ton of spare room in the car so probably just have enough space for one medium size cool box

I use one of these, which is pretty good. Probably not up to Icey-Tek/Yeti standards, but it does for 3-5 days, as long as there is enough cool packs in it. Not tried pre-cooling, but I understand that helps.
