So my last carp was last august and I haven't caught another one untill yesterday and today,I mainly fish canals April to September and a public lake where I've had success in the past, I done 4 days in June at lavender hall and blanked so confidence had plummeted.
So I've come back from my holiday last week decided to do Tuesday to Friday evening at the public lake half heartedly getting ready moral shot to pieces,but..........,,,I go and catch an 18.5 and a 23 both commons(they are the majority type of carp)and a tench(apparently only 2 in the lake).
So to say my mood has changed and got my mojo back as my brother has said to me tonight,I'm absolutely over the moon with the catches and not bothered if I catch any more untill I leave I just want revel In what I've caught and enjoy the moment,obviously the lake isn't easy very shallow in the summer time(around 2.5'off it at minute and I've done a week on there earlier in year and blanked.
So yeah just thought I'd share my joy

just had another of 24 so that's 3 fish in one session it's unusual for me to have this many I normally catch 6 in a year so good result so far

Definitely mate and to top it off I had a 24lb common at 12:20am and lost another at 4:20am 3 runs on one of my dwarf rods away from my main baited area
Total so far as I'm packing up at 5pm
1 tench (4.5lb ish)
18.5lb common
23lb common
24lb common
And 1 lost fish
Never had that many bites in a session on here before

Fortunately no there's no way I'd be using that I get more satisfaction catching 6 fish a year rather than 100 a session keeps the old grey matter ticking along when I'm not catching,always asking myself questions

I love being outside mate I'm happy with 6 fish a year with a decent one chucked in for good measure
And thanks for the positive comments it's been a hard year due to the type of waters I normally fish but well worth it
