I would like to feed small amounts of boilies to avoid large clumps. So 6/8 18mm at a time. Up to say 70 yards max. Looking at Mini Spomb and the Nash DOT Spod Micro. Anyone used either and can you cast these that distance?

Mini spomb will go that far easily , quite a bit further too . As long as you use a normal rod and not a spod rod as they are too stiff for such a small spomb and will hinder your casting

Thanks will give the mini a go, it will be nice to use it on the fishing rod as well.

Sounds like you need a good catty or a throwing stick.
At 70 yards max you will get a nice spread of bait with no clumps.
The only time a small spomb would be a better option is if you are plagued by seagulls.

Throwing stick you are limited by the hardness of boilies and as my boilies are generally quite soft this limits this.
Catty I could, but I generally don't use a marker float so with the small spomb I can clip it up at the distance and move the spod around the area accordingly.

You could get yourself one of the airbomb things, tfg used to do them , I believe Nash do now. You use them on a normal spod rod, hit the clip with them up in the air a couple of rod lengths short of where you are fishing and they open, and the bait inside spreads out over white an area . It will be a lot quicker than using a small spomb, and you were not have anything crashing down into your baited area other than bait

Have a look at the Gardner boilie rocket takes 7 to 8 18mil boilies, flies very straight and true and ideal for not getting clumps of boiles , once it lands you can twitch it back spreading the boilies even more . It will do 70 yards easily and a bit more if you need it .
