After some recommendations for day tickets, happy to travel. Its a bit of a warm up for our France trip in October, preferably somewhere slightly less busy than the Linear's & Bluebell.
Don't mind too much on fish size, chance of a 30 would be a bonus, will be going Sunday/Monday and fishing midweek for 3/4 days.

Should be quieter, early/mid week. £20 for 24 hours. Get in before ULEZ, though as that will add cost.

I'd second Orchid, particularly if you're going mid week. I've done a few Monday nights there recently and only a handful on the lake. Change of a mega fish and takes a bit more working out than just spomb and wait.

Has anybody fished Thorney Weir recently?
I haven't fished it for a few years, but love the lake. Heard just recently there is a algae bloom, my question is, does this affect the fishing?
Dont get chance to get out much especially on lakes like this ( 3 hour drive ) , so didn't want a wasted trip.
