Looking at getting a surplus rucksack and its between the British Patrol Pack and the Dutch Day Sack.

anyone got experience of using either of them
from what i can see they both have Molle attachments about the same size the other real difference being the lid on the Patrol pack has more pockets

Dutch day sack all day long.

Been using mine for a year now, mostly overnights with a sleeping bag clipped onto it to take the weight out of the bedchair carrying arm.

I travel light and generally fish without a shelter so this rucksack has made 500 yard walks very easy.

I have had the British one. Less comfy on the back and no internal compartments so no good for me. Less structure to it and I will fall over on the bank much easier than the Dutch model.

I use the British one. Tough as old boots and carpy as Tels jumper. Had it years now, love it.

Really tough and hard wearing
With the Molle pouches on the outside I can store lots on the outside

Army sacks are bulletproof but the Dutch one looks horrible looks like it comes from the 1950s

took a punt on the dutch one £35.00 delivered.
Looks pretty much brand new & stamped 1992 (complete with the internal dividers
feels like its built like a tank
