Does anyone on here have any experience of splitting the hull on an RT4 and if so, how difficult is it?

I have before twice. You have to be really careful and go slowly due to the way it's sealed. All around the door is sealed pretty well. found that it was easier to do one side and wedge open the already cut sections with some folded cardboard as i work along. I can't emphasise more how careful you have to be, they don't skimp on the sealant!

I've looked on the forum re folks who do servicing/repairs, Raves Waves appears closed leaving bait boat solutions.
Might anyone know of any recs, pref closer to Manchester/Cheshire by any chance?

I ended up using Leigh Stewart-Day in Kent. The horrors he found (due to water ingress) when he opened it up was enough to get me to sell the boat off as spares/repair and get him to fit a Raymarine to an X-Boat instead!
I know Joe at Bait Boat Solutions doesn't touch RT4s so your best bet is either Leigh or Nathun Perry at Southwest Baitboats.

If it may be of interest to anyone I spoke to Joe Jacobs at the weekend and he does work on RT4s now, including repairs and fitting. I was asking about Raymarine or Deeper.
