Last week my mate had 4 days of work so we decided to go down to linear on the Sunday, looking at their Facebook page b1 was closed for a match and due to reopen at mid day. Got down there for 11 to find a que of around 25 cars with some guys saying they had been camping in the carpark since Friday night lol, got at the back of the que to find out the bailif had taken peoples money before the lake even opens, the lake finally opens and we managed to get 2 swims next to each other before we've even unloaded the car a guy comes up with a ticket that he's already paid for for said swims, b2 was closed so was at johns and manor farm. All other lakes on site full,gave farlows a call and the guy said yeah loads of swims available so drive down to there to find it rammed people doubled up and all sorts. Ended up driving to a to a lake 40 mins from my house with a few mins spare before they close the gate. 420 miles and 10 hours in the car to fish a local lake. Blanked 😂 time to get a club ticket I think 🤦

I think the first mistake you made was travelling all that way to fish somewhere like Brasenose lol

Use the booking system on linear,I know sometimes holidays pop up,never been to farlows but they would say swims available wouldn't they lol,could of been worse you could of went to bluebell for a joyride round.

Day tickets are my absolute last resort, I may do the occasional one in winter when its quieter but won't go near them this time of year.

Echo what has been said, amongst the good guys there will always be a percentage of knob heads, fish them at your displeasure

I normally fish a venue close to home but they have still not spawned and fishing very slow the last month or so, just fancied a little road trip, a few syndicates around my way but long waiting lists. Thinking of joining a club about 30 miles up the road but it's rammed this time of year
