hi after a new barrow as my carzone one has seen better days. thinking of a Nash evo or new fox transporter / explorer deluxe. Anyone got any thoughts on these or alternatives... thanks

I reckon the new new fox transporter
will be one of the best barrows on the market now they have addressed the elastic handle problem
of the brilliant Fox Explorer barrows and made it a bit wider and a few other tweaks
I have the original Explorer and modded the handles and fitted a Global Angling motorized conversion and rear wheels
and its much better than my previous Carp power porter by a country mile !!
as I fish off the barrow and it drives straight in the back of my Skoda Octavia estate with lots of room down the side too
for the money the Fox Transporter v Nash Evo its no contest the Transporter would IMHO be a much better barrow no question
BUT !!! if budget is a big consideration ?
I have not seen one in the flesh
but I reckon you should take a serious look at the Trakker X-Trail Barrow Compact looking at the specs this could be a winner VIDEO LINKY POO

No I could not work out why they used mesh could not think of a good reason ? they are plenty strong enough though so I just bung a plastic bag in then first

Having just bought my Global angling wheel for my carp Porter and now wonder why I waited so long
Thing I noticed about the new Fox barrow was the two buckets either side and if a power wheel would actually fit
But it does look a good Barrow though

yes
as they go in front of the mesh ones on the extending bar but the brackets wont fit s they are a different size
RE your power Global Angling conversion wasnt if a bit of cake fitting simple plug and play 30 to 40 mins and done it easily in that time my case and I really took my time
I also bought their rear wheels too
brilliant motor and bet it was delivered very fast ??? mine came 4 days after ordering but it was last year

Matthew was very helpful and replied to my email late one night in about 20mins.
My carp Porter mk2 fatboy wheel fitment sizes didn't match to website sizes
Simply give my size after the email and all came and fitted with No problems
I would maybe imagine if you changed to a different make barrow they could supply new attachments to suit

thats right they will simply make a new set of forks when someone changes to a different barrow longest I have ever heard anyone wait is a couple of weeks but when you have got a company that been making them in excess of 10 years guess they got it off to a tee

I've got a Nash Trax Evo (this is now my second Nash barrow after upgrading from the Trax Metro)
Its the best, well built barrow I've owned, I've had a a Carp porter Mk2, Car porter Tri-Porter and a Fox Explorer which i loved but the handles were just too low, the build quality is better on the Nash.
I've paired mine up with the Global Angling conversion kit which i cant fault.

I've recently got a fox explorer deluxe, came up for a good price. I love it, its far easier to push than anything I've ever owned, and I love the bag being accessible with the barrow still loaded, I wish I bought one sooner.
I must say though, the build quality is apauling. Welding and fab work is a big hobby of mine, so I'm always going ti be hyper critical of work, but it really is built badly, welds missing, welds that go off at an angle and miss the joint, and the main upright (rod bag support) seems a bad, design, no matter how tight you tighten it, it will always be able to rock back and forth.
That said, even with the poor quality build work, it's still held together and hasn't fallen apart, it's bad, but it's somehow structuraly secure. I would expect there are a few out there that aren't so lucky.
The new fox barrow looks great, that support between the handles is the only thing the old explorer needs. That's where my money would be, and the only other viable contender would put money in the pockets of Kevin Nash, so that's an easy no.

thanks - dumb question maybe but always had a barrow with side bars. Does the gear shift about if moving on slopes with the fox explorer???

I put the bedchair on first and open the legs out to act as side bars. It comes with pretty good straps you can use to strap down the bedchair first so it's solid. Then just dump everything else inside the legs.
