Haven't fished any day tickets for quite some time now but I've promised to go with a friend.
He is used to catching fish under 10lb so would like to get some experience with mid doubles maybe chance of an upper double.
My one want is to go somewhere that doesn't have 5 million pegs all crammed next to each other. I don't know if such a place exists but if there is somewhere north of Birmingham that has nice well spaced pegs that's all I want
Any ideas?

Baden Hall has a lot of "runs" waters, plenty of pegs, but it get's very busy at weekends. But you can see how busy each lake is on their website via the booking system.

Any idea which one of the runs waters is best for me to start him on? Website makes them all sound like they'll be crawling up your line which I'm sure isn't the case

I'd say of the 3 runs waters, Dam Pool is the hardest hut it has the better stamp of fish (up to 30lb). Middle Pool is the most popular. I'd say Lodge Pool is the easiest, probably a few twenties, lots of doubles and upper singles. That's assuming nothing has changed in a couple of years (2021 was the last time I went there).
If you like floater fishing, you can get 'em going on mixers.

Beware though, there are a lot of Crayfish in all of the lakes.

Norton disney is an option, it's a busy place but swims are well spaced apart plus a few double swims

Yes mate although i've not fished stocks, Hodgetts is packed with fish averaging mid double although theres a fair few 20's now
