Has anyone used the above reels on 10' rods, after some advice and opinions, please.

I have some 4000d's on a Scope Sawnoff and a 9ft Scope.
They do have small spools and with heavier line it will go coily.
They would sit just lovely on 10ft rods and with 12lb line would be good up to 60-70yds at a push.

I've got daiwa theory 4000's on my scopes at the moment (same size as the 4000oc). They're on small lakes, but now i'm moving to a bigger weedier pit need something with a bit more cranking and casting ability.

I have a set of 8000 OCs on my xtractors. Had them for many years and they've been faultless.
Spool about the same size as the old Baitrunner B 4500.
I think they would be better suited on your set up.
Still fairly compact, but big enough spools for some decent distance.
