Just watched this Danny Fairbrass is comic genius the face he pulls when Spooner comes into the bivvy is brilliant. Love or hate korda I think he along with Nash have been brilliant for carp fishing.

I agree with the Korda comment with the work they've done with Embryo.Im not sure what Nash has done though,I might of missed something regarding them

On one side, he's been brilliant for the angling industry as a whole. I think even match anglers can thank him for Guru, and making an "old hat" industry wake up and modernise which in turn gives us more choice.
On the other hand, you can thank him for making it ever more difficult to find easy access quiet places to just do your own thing. Popularity exploded, the market (and in response, the puddles) have catered more and more for the newcomers who want to pile it in and yank them out. You can also thank him for providing people with so much contradictory bro-science that people have resorted to blaming what they use, despite not having the faintest idea how their actions affect their catch rate.
Use this. Use that. This is great. Nope, this is now greater..... ££££££ for the industry

Just blob a bit of goo on it and wang it out 120 on your 4lb test curves. Job jobbed.

I think that Mr Fairbrass is a much more savvy and diverse businessman than Kev Nash. Granted kev saw the benefits of bringing in the alan blairs etc. giving his business a notable target audience, but Fairbrass's business portfolio is enormous and their branding is, and always has been superb

Danny Fairbrass I was always impressed with his getting out and getting into shops himself, his own marketing and representation, although less so with the thinly disguised editorials that were nothing but cheap advertising, advertorials!
Nash, hmm! Let's just say I was not impressed with the quality of various tackle, luggage and the following customer service, along with other certain aspects of his 'fishing career'.
However, it now seems that the carp media side has hidden, forgiven and forgotten much of the past

I'm not a big fan of nash gear as I had 2 of their nash trax wheel barrows at various times and the wheel on both of them went,swapped to a carp Porter now.
Korda I can take or leave it now to be honest I may buy some of their stuff if I need it but I do find as I'm getting older I don't like companies(fishing or otherwise) ramming stuff down my throat saying this is their best thing they've produced blah blah blah.
Also nash customer service was (don't know about nowadays)shocking I think I had one guy put phone down on me or was rude like they didn't believe me but it was a few years so mind is a bit foggy

Mr Nash himself was responsible for that a few times!
I had a Nash rucksack that split right across the back seam where the shoulder straps were attached. It took months to replace and letters to Nash and to CarpWorld to bemoan the service of the manufacturer.
Ever since then I have avoided Nash Tackle unless I have to. Saying that, there were 2 items I got that were worth the money, a Nash Outlaw landing net at £45, that lasted for years, and a Nash Outlaw Hurricane Dome and overwrap I bought through ebay for £10 that is now around 20years old and still useable.
I'm not a Korda fan, some items are ok, others don't interest me, and their hooks could be improved in sharpness when I tried them, so I used other brands that were sharp enough out the pack.
