Anyone used the Vas-Tex 350E lightweight chest waders, l'm after a new pair and seen these on the Vass website in the Discontinued/ Clearance sale at £67 which l didn't think was to bad a price, l don't use them a lot it's just the odd peg where it's easier to wader out abit to cast with overhanging tree etc so was thinking these wouldn't take to much room up in my bag; and do you order your normal shoe size or go up a size, l do have some Pro - waders which l wouldn't knock at all but with bad knees now l struggle a lot get them on and off. Vass waders are good mate. I would go the next size up from your shoe size

I just bought a pair of the Vass 400E as they didn't have my size in the older model; I also thought they'd be way lighter than the current pair of nylon Leeda chesties I've had for over 15yrs so bought for sporadic summer use and on pegs where I have to jump in if theres a problem etc.

Not only are they heavier (the weight is in the boot itself); they're also a little slimmer fitting so no good for winter layers whatsoever - the boot does fit to size so didn't need to size up (to a 13). Obvs they do look the part and seem to be a bit stretchier than my current waders (bought the bag as well) but only time will tell as to whether they're as hardwearing and bought at over half the price . . .

Why don't Vass make chest wader boots in the same lightweight material that most of todays winter ankle boots are made of?

My mate had to have a pair custom made as the ones he had didn't fit him he did give me his pair he'd bought and never used
