Hi, I know there's plenty of these threads already and I think I've read through them all. I already have some Custom Freespirit E Class Golds in 12ft @3,25TC which I've owed for around 6 years which I'll be keeping. I'm looking to upgrade/treat myself but would be good to have more capable rods when fishing more at distance. I want custom builds, I've been looking at Free spirit Hi S in 12.6ft @ 3.25tc or 3.5tc. I've also been looking at Harrison TE Torrix or Aviator plus 12.6ft in 3.5tc. Or maybe the South Coast rods in 12ft 3.5tc but they come as they are and you cannot customise them, but the marketing videos say they are the best out there at a fraction of the cost, did also consider Century but again not very readily available to be customised, after messaging a couple of rod builders they said it was just because they weren't as popular. I'm in Cheshire and don't seem to be able to find a good rod stockist to compare in the flesh. Any feedback is much appreciated, thanks Adam

+1, Kevs a really friendly guy and his advice is spot on.

I also called Harrison before visiting Kevin and they kindly arranged to have all the blanks I was interested in (and some I didn't but they thought I should consider) at the factory so I could feel them/ their curves/power delivery side by side.

In my case I was looking for a newer rod blank but similar in feel to my old 3.5lb Ballista ER's.
I thought I knew what I wanted based on research, that all went out of the window with the blanks in my hand.

*blanks may differ when built up.
