I am off on my annual week to France in a couple of months time and the accommodation is within 20 metres of the lake so I can sleep in a comfy bed and fish throughout the night as long as I have a receiver on my alarms, which I don't.
I have got three Delkim alarms (x2 25 Anniversary editions and another one about the same age cant remember model). I know I can get the 3.5mm version of the Gardner ATT V2 remote system should give me what I want. Does anyone have any experience of this? Also this will cost me about £160 is this good value?
My other option is I buy a new set of alarms with a receiver. For £80 I can get a set of Sonik SKS alarms. These look pretty good but I know there are JRC and Pro Logic sets about for the same sort of money. Am I better of just getting a new set? If so which ones?
I don't carp fish that much or that often and have never needed a receiver before.
What are people thoughts?

For a week in France I'd be inclined to buy a set, half the price of the ATT's system will get something decent enough I know Gerry (old Geezer) on the forum rates the Prologic bat alarms pretty sure they're the ones he mentions and would be around 80 to 90 notes for a set of 3.

I used the Att system for years with Delkim ST's.
Yes it works, yes it's decent and as long as you don't pour coffee over the receiver it will continue to work.
Only downside is the battery in the dongle can die without warning, so check them every trip and keep a couple of spares.

I own and have used BOTH these alarms and both been 100% reliable in some of the worst weather you could fish in
THE JRC have a louder volume on the receiver than the Bat alarms if your a heavy sleeper

I would happily go fish a month in France with either of these over my Delks or Nash alarms both brilliant and for silly money

Having owned both, the new direction dongle kit is great, I prefer it to the attx, and only £70 for the 3 rod version, they even come with the back to fit directly onto some delkims, not sure which ones.

That seems to be the best solution right there. Didn't know they existed. I like my Delkims but really didn't want to spend £160 whereas £70 is acceptable. Thanks for that

Another vote for the New Direction dongles. They work with standard plus and ev plus very well.

Extra dongles are a tenner too. And they're rechargeable. The attx kit is good, but if you don't get the deluxe receiver, that extra long first beep is annoying, and the weird batteries they take too.
