Good evening,I am after some 10 x42 Binoculars,what can you recommend for the money,possibly will spend a little more if need be,thanks

Bushnell h20,I have them on 8x42 and they are brilliant

Hawke. I use mine for hiking and wildlife photography as well as fishing. Pretty much bombproof and they have models at various price points. I did a blind test with 3 other brands when I bought them, one of which I found out afterwards was three times the price , and chose the Hawkes.

They have excellent guarantee and after sales too (replaced my lost lens caps for free)

Yes I'd recommend Barr and Stroud Sierra too. I've had them about 4 years now and they've been faultless. Nice rugged and good field of view.

Are yours the more compact h2o s mate,there seems to be a couple of different styles

I use the Nikon sportstar 8x25 binoculars around £75 from Jessops website nice compact small size decent quality

I also have a pair of Nikon sportstar 8x25 in my collection
and agree they are really bright due probably to the quality coatings and lenses used
the only advantage the bigger heavier 8 x 42 size
is a little better performance in very low light conditions but in normal days hard to see any difference in brightness
