In their tests on carp, Kasumyan and Morsi found that calcium chloride (not sodium chloride) was 'highly attractive' to carp. Has anyone tried this in a bait?

Never heard of it in a bait but then I wouldn't be surprised if it is kept under wraps.
Calcium chloride is a salt which is water soluble, so makes sense why it would be useful as an attractor.
