Has anyone any up to date info on Les Saules? The only threads I can find are from 2021. I'm interested in the weed problem throughout the year. At present I'm booked for a trip this coming October. Any help will be grateful. I've read some quite negative reports tbf.

Do a search on videos taken there, latest 1 I could find was August 2022 where it does show the lake is very weedy, a lot of lakes in France are at that time in the year and I should know I had 1 for 11 years in France! From my own experience I can tell you that the weed should not be a problem in October, it will have died off by then (usually). Unfortunately lake owners are very restricted in what they can do to control and remove the weed i.e. EU ban on herbicides introduced many years ago. Can't comment on the fishing as it is many years since I fished at Goncourt. Good luck.
