Looking for a spod braid to fish straight through without leader. Recommendations please?

Daiwa J-braid x8 in 0.24mm 40lb is good for straight through, watch those fingers though this will also go straight through those!

I use Manster/Monster W8 braid in 40lb straight through.
Good for up to and over 100yds with medium and large spombs.
Yes you have to push it a bit harder than 20lb braid with a leader, but you make up for it with no frap ups.
As below - Make sure you use a finger stall

Depends on how far you need to cast.
For up to 120 yards i just my trap rods which are loaded with Korda braid in 20lb (0,40mm) The advantage of this is that you don't need to wet it or use a finger stall, used with big pits and 3.5lb tc rods. The disadvantages are that the line sinks but fine for me if just doing a few spombs.
Over 120 yards than i switch to my spod rod which has J braid 40lb (.20mm)? which as mentioned you definitely need a finger stall although generally have a leader on that set up.
The breaking strain is irrelevant when it comes to braid, concentrate on the diameter but even then manufacturers don't measure it to the same guidelines.

I just use cheap 30lb braid off ebay, never had any problems with it.

I use the Gardner Kinetic spod braid straight through..I have done for the past 4 years. Its fine up to about 120 yards, after that you need J braid and a leader.
