I have done a search any nothing came back so apologies if this has been covered before.
I'm looking at upgrading my current Fox MXR+ alarms and I have a lot of confidence in the Fox alarms, heard few horror stories of the newer Delks failing from water ingress?
Anything to look out for or be aware of, any alternative suggestions?

My advice would be to go for the Mini Micron X if you prefer Fox alarms. Smaller than the RX+, a third of the price and nobody seems to know what the RX+ can do for the extra money.

Mine have been faultless in the 2 years I've had them. I've changed the batteries twice now but only as precaution rather than the batteries going flat.
Very highly recommended from me.

Yes the RX + are good alarms I had them from when the were first released back in 2017 but sold them couple of years ago and went back to the MXR+ which I perfer the smaller size of them do everything I need

Hmm interesting, I don't want to regret changing them. I do like the MXR been more than happy with them.

If they do what you need them to do and happy with them, I'd stick and put the savings into bait. They are excellent alarms, but current prices are nuts. I bought mine 4 years ago for about £500. They're about £650 now

I have the old mmxr alarms, and upgraded to the rx+. To be honest the new alarms don't do anything for me that the old ones didn't. I suppose there are some situations where the rx+ are superior, but for general fishing I think we are buying over-specced items because of the sales hype and peer pressure.

Yes your 100% there use it on bait! Although I have managed to find them at a reasonable price of £540 therefore making me very tempted.

I also agree with this, sometimes are we over engineering things for what we really need of them 🤔
I like a few of the functions such as the vibrate and bivvy light and particularly the dropback feature....I did hope they maybe slightly more sensitive in registering what's going on in the lake?

Hi mate, I had the mxr+ what seems a lifetime ago, I upgraded to the NXR+ I have never looked back, they are fantastic alarms. They have never missed a beat. Forget how long I have had them now? Maybe 4 years? Don't want to change them, for someone that has ocd thar says alot. If you want to upgrade they are a logical choice. The reciever has never not worked ever when we have tested it in stupid scenarios that you would not realistically be fishing in , like 5 acres away from your rods. Honestly they are awesome alarms buy with confidence. Basically gives you the option to customise a lot of settings and features

Cheers for that, I'm was tempted by the Micron x after seeing it's features for the price however Im seeing a lot of negative comments regarding the battery life where as the RX+ seems to be praised in this case.

From what I can see, the RX+ has the Night Light function, uses dials rather than buttons to control them (less faff?), take AA Batteries so available almost everywhere, more colours on the LEDs, Range Check function, Stainless Thread and the Weather Sealing is also listed as a featured whereas it isn't on the Mini X, Bivvy Light on the receiver, and it doesn't look like the receiver has volume control?
Not sure any of these features warrant the massively inflated price of the RX+.
I've got a set of RX+ and have had them 4 years or so since one of my Delkim's packed up in the rain, they've worked faultlessly, battery life is fantastic, I like the way you get a battery check every time you turn the receiver on and when the heads are running low the LED change colour.
One thing I have noticed whilst using them is the amount of “false bleeps” I used to get on my Delkims, I know you can adjust settings etc but it really is noticeable how much this is cut down on the Fox Alarms.
If I was to start up my Pike Fishing again though I'd probably buy a couple of Delkims as I feel the vibration sensing is better for Pike in conjunction with a drop of indicator of some sort.

Fox do excellent alarms IMO
Can't really go wrong with any of the more recent models or even back to the older RXs etc.
