Hi All, I've just bought a Lowrance Hook 2 fishfinder to use on my rib. Can I connect the wires straight to the 12v leisure battery to power it up?
Would also have to attach a fuse too?

I have the elite fs on my boat and when I update it I just use a spare lead and a fag lighter connection and plug it into my fox power pack at home so yup would be the answer
I would use a fuse yes

No, do not connect straight to you battery, always install a fuse in case of a power surge.

This stuff is always such a headache. They should just add those things to your unit.
