Hi Simon

I have been several times throughout the years and it is a wonderful, intimate place.

The big fish (60lb plus) have always eluded me however, they are in there and fish to over 50lb are a frequent visitors to the bank.

Listen to Jon the owner and you will not go far wrong, even though it is a small intimate water, I find the use of a Baitboat with sounder a great advantage as it makes for a stealthy approach and the sounder will show the holes that the Carp like to dig out and feed in.

Bait wise, the house bait in all of it's forms are proven winners.

Good luck and enjoy the tranquillity that Moulicent has to offer.

Hi Anton, thanks for the advice, what I've seen of it, looks really nice. Are the fish bait reliant, or is there plenty of natural food? Just wondering about quantity of bait to take?

They are certainly not bait reliant as the place has a huge natural larder and as a result, the fish can be moody.

Quantity wise, anyone's guess really, if they are having it then loads, if not then not a lot.
I would take 10kg of my own boilies and use Jon's carpet feed and particle mix if you require more. I would certainly be using it anyway as, they see loads of it.

Not been in it for years so, not really certain but, I know it used to have cooking facilities in it.
There is a shed with bait freezer and food fridge, separate shower room and a really useful shack at the side of the lake which now has a gas BBQ in it as opposed to outside the mobile home.

Not been for a few years due to fishing other lakes in france but tbh its got to be the best secluded lake in france Imo.
So peacefull and the wildlife is superb!
Jon & Anna are excellent hosts, nothing too much trouble.
10/10 fom me.
