Hi looking at booking a lodge in summer 2024 for the family carp fishing but not 4 hours away. Any recommendations I'd be grateful. Yorkshire or Midlands that sort of distance. Somewhere where likely to catch something and stuff to do locally.

Thanks, Trent view looks just like a cabin, it would need to be two bedrooms. Cromwell looks decent!

I went to York lakeside lodges a few years ago and that seems to fit your bill.
However there was a thread running a few months back that says it's changed owners and a load of drunk idiots seem to go, and the new owners are not really addressing the issue, maybe worth doing a bit if research, as i had a really nice time, few fish on the bank, and everyone was fine.

Just been to Nuddock Wood lakes in S****hope, we stayed in a 1 bed lodge and was quite nice to be fair.
Unfortunately no fish out that weekend but everywhere is hit and miss at the moment.
