One of the buzzers in my Nevilles has died, whilst I'm still able to use it fine with the sounder box, I would like to sort it.
I know I could send it to Daletronics/Fleet micro and get it done, but piezo buzzers (which I believe are what Nevilles use) are only a few quid and replacing one is well within my capabilities.
So question - Does anyone know/have a link to the exact buzzer the alarms use? I can strip it to find out, but its easier if someone already knows so i can order one before taking it apart...

I didn't suggest he is... his prices seem entirely reasonable, perhaps even on the cheap side, to me.

Have you tried gently "Tapping it" when turned on? As one of my Nev's I've just re-built has a lazy speaker, gentle flick and it's fine all day. If I used them more often it would probably be ok.

I think youve misunderstood what tinhead was saying. I believe what he was saying is that the guys who runs it, isnt all about money, so may just give you the answer you need if you call him and ask

Dal is a top bloke always very helpful.
I would just pay him and let him sort it he has the parts there in his den full of newer and old buzzers.
Blokes been doing it for years and is the nicest sincerest person you'll meet.
If it goes wrong again he'll sort it as well in the future.
Not worth saving a couple of quid IMO

Turns out it has also developed the dreaded cracks, so it'll be going in for recasing now, so will get it done at the same time.

Go to local angling shop that sells nevs ask them to send it back. If they sell a fair bit of his stuff usually post free. I used daletronics years ago for a remote. Found them expensive and still didn't work for long.

Never had a problem with daletronics - I had an alarm fault about a year after servicing, he swapped the pcb which upgraded it to a mk3 for the cost of postage.
