Looking at buying a set of Onyx QuickDraw rods for the smaller waters I fish, can't decide between the 10ft 3.25's or the 10ft 3.5's has anyone used them and what are peoples thoughts etc. was leaning towards the 3.5's but hope they aren't to stiff.

Ive got the 10ft 3.25 - imho 3.5 would be way too stiff for smaller waters and tbh wish they did a 2.75.
I snapped a couple of inches off the tip of one, so re-tipped it and use it as a spod/marker rod.

I just didn't want to go for the 3.25's and they were to soft. But
On the other hand don't want to be over gunned with the 3.5's and way too stiff. It's ok having a look at them in the shop but until you actually use them it's hard to get a gage for them

I wish they did a lower TC, really cant see why you'd need 3.5tc on smaller waters (or 3.25!) but i bet they wouldn't sell in the lower test curves.

They don't. Only 3.25 and 3.5lb test curves..

3.25 won't be to soft unless you are casting massive heavy pva bags to the horizon which you won't be with 10ft rods you don't need heavy test curve rods better of with lower test curve rods on smaller lakes so much better actually enjoying the fight

I got a second hair pair of ESP 9ft stalkers in 2.75lb are they are perfect for my club waters. I really looked at the quickdraw and it was the TCs that put me off.

Had a play with the 3.5lbs first but found them slightly too stiff.
The 3.25's are just perfect!
Still punching out solid bags 80-90yds with 18lb Syncro mainline no problem.
Had fish to 56lbs on them so far. 👍

I have the 10ft Onyx quickdraw spod rod, I use it on my syndiate which is only 21 wraps max. I bought it as I normally use HI-S 10ft rods for fishing, and my main spod rod is 13ft, so it makes everything simpler if all rods are 10ft.
Really like it - does the job, can't really complain at all for the price.
