Whatever happened to the fishing at Arena Essex ? Anybody know what happened early 2000 s ? I used to be a member but been out of the game for 20 odd years .

Had a fish kill. The stock is apparently quite tremendous nowadays and everyone I've spoke to has shut me down about getting on there, I'm only local so I'd love to fish the place

Massive fish kill due to moving fish from to lake by the ex owner it was took over by some of the ex members it was was stocked with approximately 100 small carp 6lb-10lb throughout the early years of the new syndicate no members fished it but it was heavily fed by baits supplied by Gary Bayes.
I was lucky to fish over there about 10 years ago as a guest I had a scrapper 20 out but saw some proper lumps in there
The fish now are proper stunners but sadly due to development of the Arena Essex site looks like the Arena could be lost forever

I know a few members and been there a few times lovkey comfortable swims 1 even has a nice patio 😆

I knew about the fishkill but I also heard about the restocking . Cant find any info about fishing it . Right on my doorstep as well .

I've tried asking about getting on there as well to some members and they said there's no chance. Its a shame as it looks a great place.
