would anyone be able to say if the original deeper pro can still be used.? after sitting in the cupboard for years after a french trip a mate wanted to borrow it. I charged it up fully and this morning took over his lake but couldn't get it to link to the app on my phone. is there a new app or something I'm missing.

You probably need to update the firmware, I think you need to be connected to the net for that.

You connect to it when it's plugged in for charging and when you open the app it'll do it automatically.

first make sure the brass connection points on the deeper are clean !
then check that you are holding your smartphone correctly and not covering its Bluetooth antenna. Positioning of the Bluetooth antenna may vary depending on the model of your smartphone / tablet. Do not keep your smartphone on the ground or in your pocket and remove any smartphone cases.
Make sure that your Deeper App is up to date. If you're using the latest version of the app and it fails to connect to your Deeper even though you have successfully established a Bluetooth connection previously, please follow these steps:
Remove (Forget) Deeper from your smartphone's Bluetooth devices.
Restart your phone;
Connect your Deeper to a charger;
Pair your Deeper with your smartphone again.

I've tried that, and noticed there was a new app out for them.so downloaded that after deleting the old app and it just keeps saying wrong password entered. so I reset new password by the email they sent me and it still keeps saying wrong password...

I got a e-mail from Deeper a while ago saying support for the old app was being withdrawn and to update to the new app which I assume is the one you've found. I'd drop them a quick msg or live chat on the webby.
Sorry for slow reply. Thanks Sam it was the 123etc password I needed. Doh. Had a very helpful few emails from deeper explaing what to do.
