If you want to change and can afford it, then why not. I changed from originals to slds and havent looked back

Yeah but sold is a better reel while the standard scw according to mates that have tried them all recon it the worse of them all, one mail ordered them blind and sent them back.

I move from Shimano 10000 mgs xsd to the new Basia , use them for a year on the wild St.Lawrence river in Canada , great reels very good long casting , superb clutch, beautiful look . Nothing to complaine till now,

Take it at that price it was the mag sealed version not the standard scw which is what my mate sent back, few people I know rate the sld as the best of them all.
