Bought these rods in 10ft 2.75tc the question is would they be ok for big barbel up to 18llb or would they be to powerfuli got them because they go in the boot of the car as longer rods would be on show for thieves got them for short grab and go session carp fishing any opinions please

Depends on the river and flow, not what I would choose personally unless heavy flow flood conditions, but you will see people using all sorts from pound and a quarter up to three pound plus carp rods.

Mainly a Thames stretch which I've been told hold some big carp so was trying to buy rods that would handle them too your right I've seen blokes with 12ft 3.25 carp rods
