Morning Chaps
Am wanting to fish more over larger trout pellets next year (10-14mm) with the aim of being a bit different to the norm.
The water I fish can be a bit Choddy so still wanted to fish a pop up, but I'm really struggling to find a pop up which closely resembles a 10-14mm trout/halibut pellet
Any ideas?
Thanks
Matt

CCMoore & Hinders did a TP pop up not sure if either still do, otherwise grind up some pellets to fine powder then mix with a hard hook bait mix (I use CCMoore) in neutral mix with eggs mould round a 10/12mm cork ball and boil. Once they've hardened off soak in a little fish oil, a couple of eggs will be enough for a season.

You can buy Cork barrels, you'd have to cut them from the lengths offered though.

Have a look at bait works edge hookbaits or DNA baits do a crayfish hookbait to go with their crayfish pellets

None of the “flavoured” pop ups will be anything like a trout pellet though, best solution is to make your own as below.
Unless you think the flavour will matter......

Dynamite bait do a halibut pop up

Easy to make your own, have a look at the Terry Hearn crave cork ball pop up video on YouTube, he uses ground pellet in his pop up basemix, I've been making my own cork balls this season and the results have been superb 👍
