I know a while ago that there was good recommendation for some prologic alarms and also jrc where mentioned new models have come since then so what is the best cheap alarm now with receiver I've been looking at the fox mini micron x

The Fox Mini Microns are good. As are the Prolific BAT+ alarms that are less than half the price

IMHO
these are simply unbeatable AND ! for silly cheap money too !!!!!!!! with todays improved electronics and reliability there simply isn't any need to have your pants pulled down spending many hundreds of pounds on overpriced alarms
they will do everything you could ever want from an alarm LINKY POO
and
YES I have owned and used Alarms by Heron Optonics Fox,ATT, Nash,JRC, various Delkims , Steve Neville etc so trust me I do know about Alarms
IMHO

Hope the quality is better. I tried some prologic a few years ago. Bloody unreliable and I could have gone down the shops in the time it took for the receiver to pick up a beep from the heads

YES ! your 100% right
the earlier version was proper rubbish and so Prologic had to get their arse in gear and rectified the problems so its importanT you get the BAT PLUS !!
as this is the decent one I got a m8 that lives in France he is retired AND FISHES ALL YEAR he is on his 4 th or 5th season and fished in some of the worst storms etc
and unlike his previous alarms Nevs and Delkims he hasnt had a seconds problems they are used a lot more in Europe than here apparently I only know 2 other people that use them but there are a few forum members that use them

The Korum rive tripod is crap but the Korum Mk 2 river tripod is brilliant
The original Wychwood Compact bed is crap But the new Wychwood 2019 Compact bed is great

I take on board about the bat plus alarms how on earth do they do it at the price
I will have to disagree on the wychwood beds there all crap and far to expensive imo lol
