Out of curiosity do you guys use sweet or savoury flavours for hookbait and feed? - do you swap between based on conditions or do you combine both?
Was out the other day and the chap in the swim to my left was using Cell (sweet) on hook and feed, and the guy to my right was using Crab/Krill boilies (savoury). Both caught. In the middle I was fishing Scopex squid over hemp and maize (guess this is a mix of sweet and savoury) and caught too.
Anyway just found it interesting that three v different baiting approaches all produced fish in adjacent swims at the same time. Did make me wonder if it really mattered or you could just put in any flavours of bait in combination and still catch.

A good flavour combo is just that. Some lakes I have found respond best to certain types of flavours. On the lakes I fish I have always done well on squid flavour based combos.
