Hi all, it's been a while. Haven't been out much in the last few years due to life getting in the way but I'll be back on the lake soon. In the meantime I'm clearing out my garage and looking to move a few things on.
I've got 6 x SS3000 in VG/Excellent condition. 3 hex and 3 square. All serviced by Custom Reels a few years back and not used more than twice since. I have service receipts.
I have two set ups for the different waters I fish and prefer to use my ISO's on one and TT5000's on the other so they won't be getting any use.
I need to check the spool situation. I think I have 9 in all although 3 are well worn from memory. No boxes.
I'm a bit out of touch so any pointers on what price I should be asking? Cheers

Thanks mate that's handy cos I've just been through a very expensive divorce 😬

if your on facebook there's a daiwa selling page,I reckon you'll get a few quid more on there..get some pics up ask for a valuation and take it from there

The big money sets can take time to sell as they are bought by collectors that want mint all original show peice examples. Just seen a set described as very good condition for £750 but as they are re-release ones and worse have Tourny gold spools in my eyes they are far too expensive as I could buy a new set of tourny's for that money.

I'm thinking of around £1k per set, maybe 900 for the hex and 1100 for the squares. I'm not in any rush to sell. Just a couple of minor rotor paint chips on one or two which, from memory, Garry dabbed with paint when he serviced them.
I think the servicing was a couple of hundred and they were done by the main man at CR. And maybe £200 for the well worn spools. All spools are original SS3000.
Does that sound about right?

Probably not far off the mark there! Prices seem to have dropped since the prices of everyday life items have rocketed. Between £800/1100 seems to be a going rate for ones in good nick. Spare spools wise, well worn £50 a pop, good condition £100 a pop.
