I bought one of these 2nd hand never ever got to get it to work. I was trying again recently and now cannot get the ND_2.4G_**** to show up on the WIFI screen. Tried searching manually and everything but not found. Just wondering if anyone else had this problem and what they did to rectify

Check
ND wifi extender Yt setup
Also be sure to reset the extender before you try a new install
At 160 yard the signal was weak @ 185 yard i lost the signal (not bad)

There is a ND2 bait boat page on facebook if you have it mate.
One of the ND tech people is on there and will generally help out with issues - may be worth a check with them

Cheers this might be the way to go. I am just not able to get it connected even after reviewing countless videos.

Reset the router in the box, by pressing a pen into the pinhole. Wait for it to flash rapidly and it will then turn up on wifi.
Happens to mine all the time and its a bit of a PIA but that solves it.

No big time I nearly have to re-set it every time. Turns out I got it to work at least I think I have not tested it yet. Maybe someone might know but when you get to the last stage and you need to reboot. I presume the spinning wait wheel just stays there. Reason why I ask is that when you go back to the WIFI settings you can see the extender name has disappeared like its supposed to from the WIFI menu. Then you just select your deeper and that's it finished? Either I was connected to the Deeper through the WIFI extender or direct straight to the deeper I don't know. Not sure what to expect

Yes the spinning wheel of doom. Just connect to the deeper and you should be done. Resetting is a PIA but it seems occasionally the only way to do it. The instructions it comes with aren't fit for bog roll.

How do I unlink my deeper from the ND range extender when I want to connect my smartphone directly to the deeper?
Is it a case of resetting the Range extender?
