As you say Joss, a lot of these based around WPC 80, UNFLAVOURED powders.
Then tweaked to suit various customer preferences by adding flavours.

Personally only every used the plain & unflavoured variety, in boilie mixes, and trying some in a shake myself

Plain unflavoured protein powder for yourself is a brave choice. I had some sent by accident and it was like trying to drink chalk

Also, whey should work pretty well in a ground bait because its pretty damn soluble, but if you're boiling/cooking it with anything, you'd be better off with some of the casein if you have any because it doesn't denature like whey. If you try and cook something with them both you'll be able to taste just how bitter the whey goes compared to casein after heat is applied.

Should work well, I used to use LamLac in ground bait on the river when I had some spare and it was great! It doesn't bind at all though so use it with something that does

Ok. That sounds like a score.

Ground bait and stick mixes will be a good start.
It can also be used in zig mixes.
