Final preparations are being done for my little foray into France in the coming weeks. I'm going to visit 8 venues in 5 days with a view of discarding some I don't get a "feel" for, then go back to the others in the Spring, whilst also visiting a few more unknowns and keeping/discarding them for the autumn.
It's a solo trip, and I've gone as far as having a camping khazi in the back of the van, and removing the bulkhead so I can drop the front seats for any venues that I can park the van next to the swim.
So, question is, what other little items or tips/tricks may I have missed? I feel I have all eventualities covered in the sense of having a spare bulk spool of mono, 3 head torches, bankstick with reflective tape in case there are any late night boats on the canals etc...
Thanks in advance.

sanef toll tag well worthwhile.
Personally id go to less venues and spend more time at them. If you are looking at some large waters or canals, will take a day to have a good mooch around, let alone wetting a line.
Sounds like you will be working pretty hard out there, drink much more water than you would normally.
Have a good trip mate, am jealous. Make sure you kick back a bit and enjoy it.

Thank you. I have thought about cutting down on venues, but to be honest I'll probably visit some and discount it within minutes if access is poor/unsafe or the recent weather has turned it pea green or into shallow puddles. Most of the venues are under 15 acres, and within an hour of each other, so it won't take me long to have a wander round them.
Have also pencilled in a few tabacs nearby to kick back and have a glass of vino. The first venue is stunning, so thats getting a full 24 hours of my time
