I recently changed my line to one of the fluro coated lines , which im very happy with , but i use a bait boat and send it out 130/145 yards , my problem is that it has turned green and fairly dirty , is there any thing I can soak the spools in to remove this , I know I can clean it as I reel in , but that is easier said then done over that distance and soaking would be easier .

Small squirty bottle water and a couple of drops of washing up liquid.

Used it for years as a match angler to clean the line so it sinks better. Even put it on a cloth and hold it round your line as you wind in. You will see the muck it removes.

I used to use a wet microfibre cloth with a bit of washing up liquid on my Fluoro and it worked a treat to take the muck off and get the line sinking better again.

Yep ,as simple as a baby wipe ,why over think it

Even standard mono is worth regular cleaning with a wipe.

Baby wipe for me as well.

Stick a soapy sponge in the butt ring.......job done.......
