Same problem at both. Extra time needed for extra checks and stamping of your passport.

Be fine by November. Its only fubar at the moment cos its holiday season.

The checking and stamping of passports is now permanent as we are third country nationals. It will be better obviously off peak but it will be far slower passing through EU borders.

It's just petty politics using unnecessary tactics to show disapproval of a democratic process. Overnight the uk became a security risk.

Why is it only Calais that has the problem, no reports of problems with other EU countries.

It's a hold up which in the scheme of things is small change for a week or twos holiday . Been going since the mid 70s , and you would have thought there was never any holdups before last weekend , when iv been in loads 🙄. Just smile and give a cheery wave as you drive off 👍

And by the same token I've been through loads of times when there have been no personnel on duty. Obviously it can't happen now. In forty years of crossing regularly I've never heard of people being stuck at passport control for 8 or 9 hours. Lorries being stacked up doesn't help matters. Another consequence of Brexit.

Just for people's info. We crossed on the tunnel yesterday afternoon and got through both passport booths in under 5 minutes.
That was with 4 trains an hour running.
All booths had staff in.
If they man the booths it works fine. They where checking all passports.
Train then broke down but they got it going after half an hour.
Hey ho the trains are getting old now and it's showing.
