I have done a search so please point me at thread as maybe done before!

I saw a couple of years ago a photo storage thing that you plugged into multiple computers, phones etc and it took all the photos and stored them. I have pics across about 7 devices and probably 3 thousand over all.
I also think I remembered it did some clever sortation - but that may be made up so;

Does such a thing exist?
What are the best and affordable?
Do you need a GCSE in computer science to use them?
Ideally I want on hard drive not in the cloud - just because of my age and believing one day the Ruskies will steal me and the big 8lb common pick from 1981

I have a photostick. Works brilliantly and finds pics you have lost. Dead easy to use

Sounds ideal what model is it and does it work with both iPhone and computers (usb?)

I have a NAS drive, where I can store all my photos and music etc, and access around the home

NAS drive from Western Digital - you can pick up a 'refurbished' twin drive (autmatically backs up / mirrors your files) for not a lot - I've got an 8tb mirrored (16tb total) which should cover all my data needs for some time . . . .piece of p*ss to use - just works like an additional drive when plugged into your laptop / mac / pc
