I managed to acquire a pair of these off a friend and just wondering whether using one for a floater rod would do the trick or would it be under gunned?
Lake has carp to mid 30's I'm thinking of using it on!

I've got two of them and they are great rods. They will be perfect for that mate
I think we all get carried away with high test curves now when they are often not needed. In the late 80s and 90s we all thought a 2.5lb test curve rod was a distance rod.
